- SPF 30 | 5* UVA - 80% of premature ageing is caused by UV damage from the sun. Medik8's carefully chosen complex of sunscreen filters are proven to be long-lasting, extremely safe, and the best shields against premature ageing caused by the sun. The beautiful lightweight texture feels nothing like a normal suncream.
- Pollution shield - tiny particles of pollution in the air and ozone can seep into the skin and cause free-radical production. Our Advanced range used Moringa seed extract, a powerful antioxidant, which can form a shield on the skin to keep away free radicals.
- Anti-infrared - infrared is another type of the sun's rays that can break down collagen molecules, leading to rough skin. Carnosine, included in our Advanced range, is able to inhibit the process that breaks down collagen, leaving behind plumped and youthful looking skin.
- Anti-blue light - blue light is very similar in wavelength to harmful UV light and studies have shown that it can cause hyperpigmentation and free radical damage. Blue light defence is provided by theobroma cocoa seed extract, an ingredient sustainably sourced from Peru.
- Anti A.G.E - accumulated sugars from one's diet can bind to collagen and elastin fibres in the skin, creating advanced glycation end products (A.G.E), resulting in deformed collagen and reduced celluar turnover. This can lead to sagging, aged skin. In the Advanced range, we use carnosine, an anti-glycation active, which blocks sugar from binding to collagen.
