How long it lasts
IPL Laser does need maintenance. Maintenance could be a yearly treatment or even 3-5years down the track, depending on the individual.Who is it for?
Those with fair skin and dark hair are the ideal candidates for this type of hair removal. The noticeable contrast between light skin and dark hair makes it easier to target the melanin. However, it's important to note that blond or fine hairs cannot be effectively treated with lasers and thus cannot be removed using this method.
What to expect
Over the course of the treatment sessions, you can expect a gradual reduction in hair growth. The results vary depending on individual factors, but many people experience significant hair reduction and smoother skin in the treated area.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Laser hair removal is a popular cosmetic procedure that utilises a powerful laser or intense pulsed light (IPL) to effectively eliminate unwanted hair.
By directing the light source onto the skin, the targeted heat generated by the laser or IPL destroys the hair follicles, thereby inhibiting future hair growth.
This procedure is commonly performed on various areas of the body, including the face, chest, legs, arms, underarms, and bikini line, to achieve smooth and hair-free skin.
After your IPL laser treatment consultation, we perform a quick patch test on the intended treatment area. In rare instances, some people will have an adverse reaction to the intense light of laser, so we always patch test just make sure your skin is happy with the treatment. So long as there is no reaction, you will be able to have your full treatment at your
next appointment.
If you're already pregnant, Congratulations! But you will have to wait before you are able to have a Laser or IPL treatment. Natural hormonal changes during pregnancy can cause areas of increased hair growth or pigmentation, so your treatment could be less effective and not achieve the best results for you. We recommend waiting until after you have finished breastfeeding.
Regular sessions are necessary to prevent hair regrowth. The frequency of these sessions varies for each individual. For instance, facial hair may require removal every 4 weeks, while body hair may need to be attended to every 6 to 8 weeks.
Some treatments aren't suitable for everybody, so before we perform any Laser treatments, we carry out a full consultation. This is to make sure there are no health, medical or treatment-related reasons why you might not be able to have your desired treatment. During our consultations we fully explain the treatment process, any risks, and what you can expect in terms of results. You also have the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have about the treatment.
