Blemishes often plague the skin of teenagers, but many adults also experience the stress of imperfect skin, possibly causing a lack of self confidence. Medik8 Blemish SOS is an on-the-spot blemish gel to visibly reduce the appearance of blemishes in a matter of hours.
- Calms blemishes - featuring a combination of powerful active ingredients which target the 3 pathways to blemish formation: sebum production, blocked pores and P. acnes growth.
- Clears pores - congestion of hair follicles can lead to blemishes. Maximum strength 2% salicylic acid exfoliates within pores as well as the surface of the skin to prevent blemish formation.
- Invisible film - the cleargel dries to an invisible film over the blemish, making it the perfect base for make-up as well as preventing bacteria from entering the pore.
- Non-drying - Blemish SOS leaves the skin supple and comfortable, so that the spot is not dried out so much that make-up cannot be applied over it.
- Suitable for all skin types - does not contain benzoyl peroxide or sulphur derivatives as these ingredients can cause irritation to sensitive skin types.
- Salicylic Acid - Decongesting and exfoliating from within the pore, salicylic acid breaks down the clogged oil and skin cells that can lerad to blemishes.
- Azelaic acid - With it's potential antibacterial properties, azelaic acid targets blemish-causing bacteria such as P. acnes.
- Niacinamide - Otherwise known as vitamin B3, this soothing anti-inflammatory quickly reduces redness and irritation surrounding the blemish, while regulating sebum production to prevent blocked pores.
- Dioic acid - Able to control the amount of oil produced by the pores, dioic acid helps to declog and prevent future blemishes.
